As part of its distinguished scientific activities, the Department of Clinical Pharmacy at the College of Pharmacy – Al-Nahrain University announced the publication of a peer-reviewed research paper by Assistant Lecturer Mohammed Murtadha, in collaboration with a group of fifth-year students:
(Duha Hussein, Nabaa Ali, Abdullah Mohammed, Hawraa Hassan, Rana Salah, Ahmed Aras). The study represents their graduation project for the current academic year.

📚 Research Title:
Prevalence of Stress, Anxiety, Depression Among Pharmacy Students and Their Association with Academic Performance and Living Conditions

🎯 Objective:
The study aims to investigate the prevalence of stress, anxiety, and depression among pharmacy students and to analyze their relationship with academic level, academic performance, and living conditions, contributing to a better understanding of factors affecting students’ mental health.

📌 Key Aspects of the Study:
● Measuring levels of stress, anxiety, and depression using the (DASS-21) scale
● Analyzing the relationship between mental health, academic level, and performance
● Examining the impact of lifestyle factors such as sleep and caffeine consumption on psychological well-being
● Identifying the main factors influencing mental health among pharmacy students

📊 Results:
The study found high prevalence rates of psychological disorders among students, with a clear association with academic level and certain personal factors. This highlights the importance of strengthening psychological support programs and academic counseling within the university environment.

✨ This achievement reflects the College of Pharmacy’s commitment at Al-Nahrain University to supporting scientific research and encouraging students to engage in rigorous research projects, contributing to the development of their academic skills and their role in serving the community.
