About Postgraduate Studies

🎓 Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm)

Our college awards the Master of Pharmacy degree. This program was established with teaching commencing from the academic year 2024–2025. Total credit hours: 36 credits.

Duties of the Postgraduate Studies Division

📌 Axis I: Postgraduate Students within Iraq
  • Prepare the postgraduate admission plan for the college for the new academic year, including degree type (Master’s), number of seats, and scientific specializations.
  • Submit periodic statistics every four months to Al-Nahrain University Presidency on postgraduate graduates, including name, degree, specialization, graduation GPA, and university order number.
📌 Axis II: Follow-up on Postgraduate Student Affairs
  • Prepare and follow up on the admission plan, verify academic backgrounds to align with postgraduate regulations, and submit to relevant authorities.
  • Issue administrative orders for postgraduate student admissions based on university orders.
  • Monitor the status of admitted and enrolled students from the start of study through graduation order issuance.
  • Issue circulars and instructions related to postgraduate studies in accordance with Ministry and University directives.
  • Maintain ongoing statistics on students (admission numbers, enrollment cancellations, study deferrals, graduates, extensions).
  • Issue letters specifying thesis defense dates for postgraduate students.
  • Issue administrative orders granting the Master of Pharmacy degree.
  • Establish new postgraduate programs (Higher Diploma / Master’s / PhD) after obtaining official approvals.
📌 Axis III: Postgraduate Studies Committee
  • Record minutes of the Postgraduate Studies Committee, which meets regularly every two weeks and whenever necessary.
  • Submit committee minutes to the College Dean for presentation to the College Council for approval.

Application Process for Postgraduate Studies

Follow the official instructions published by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research regarding postgraduate admission requirements and regulations within Iraq.

Electronic application must be submitted simultaneously with the paper application — applicants must visit the college before submitting to inquire about the procedure.

Prepare for the required proficiency examinations: National English Language Exam, Arabic Language Exam, and Computer Exam.

Paper documents are verified against electronic submissions by the college — the applicant is responsible for the accuracy of all information provided.

Applicants are subject to a competitive examination and interview in accordance with the admission regulations for the relevant year.

Original graduation certificate or letter of graduation support stating name, academic background, and GPA.
University postgraduate order for applicants who have received one.
No-objection letter for employed applicants, signed by the authorized entity.
Official proof for non-employed applicants (retirement ID or resignation letter).
Original copies of required proficiency certificates.
Form No. 500 and employment record Form 501 (no alterations or corrections permitted).
Written pledge Form No. 504.
Special pledge form for self-funded applicants.
Unified National ID card and residence card.
4 recent personal photographs.
Color printed electronic application form signed by the applicant.
Photocopies of all documents listed above.
