External participation

The College of Pharmacy at Al-Nahrain University, represented by the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs and Students, Assistant Professor Dr. Shaimaa Hussein Hammoudi, participated in the activities of the scientific conference titled “Knowledge Economy, Entrepreneurial Universities, and Sustainable Economy,” organized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, with wide participation from Iraqi universities and academic institutions.

This participation reflects the college’s commitment to keeping pace with modern trends in higher education, strengthening its role in supporting the concepts of the knowledge economy, and fostering an environment of innovation within academic institutions, thereby contributing to the development of educational outcomes and aligning them with labor market needs.

The conference addressed several key themes, most notably the digital platform for implementing the Bologna Process philosophy, and the role of smart education platforms in Iraq (iQ and LEARN) in advancing the educational process. It also discussed the importance of industrial advisory boards and science and technology parks in supporting innovation and enhancing collaboration between universities and productive sectors.

The participation of the Assistant Dean in this scientific event comes as part of the ongoing efforts of the College of Pharmacy – Al-Nahrain University to engage with reputable academic experiences and exchange expertise, further strengthening its scientific standing and supporting its path toward academic excellence.
