Scientific symposium on applications of medical sources and medicinal plants in branches of pharmacy The Continuing Education Unit at the College of Pharmacy at Al-Nahrain University organized a scientific symposium entitled "Applications of Medical Resources and Medicinal Plants in the Branches of Pharmacy". The symposium was held at nine o'clock in the morning on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, in the Clinical Pharmacy Laboratory hall in the college building, in the presence of faculty members and college employees. The symposium included two lectures: The first lecture: delivered by Dr.Saba Hamid, in which she talked about the clinical applications of medicinal plants. The second lecture: delivered by Dr.Aya Fadel, in which she talked about the use of herbs in the pharmaceutical industry. The two lectures emphasized: The importance of plants as a primary source for most manufactured medical treatments. The significant impact of medicinal plants on the patient's health. Steps to extract active ingredients from medicinal plants. Applications of these substances in clinical medicine. The symposium also discussed cooperation between the clinical pharmacy branches and the drugs and medicinal plants branches at Al-Nahrain University. This symposium is considered one of the most important events organized by the College of Pharmacy at Al-Nahrain University, as it contributes to spreading awareness about the importance of medicinal plants and their applications in the field of pharmacy.
