Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Fareed Hameed, a faculty member in the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology at the College of Pharmacy – Al-Nahrain University, participated as a member of the examination committee for the master’s thesis of student Huda Hameed Rasheed in the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology, College of Pharmacy – University of Baghdad.
The thesis was entitled:
“The Potential Cardioprotective Effects of TND1128 and Omega-3 Fatty Acids, Individually, Against Daunorubicin-Induced Cardiotoxicity in Rats.”
The thesis investigated the potential protective effects of selected therapeutic compounds in reducing the cardiotoxicity associated with daunorubicin administration, through the evaluation of pharmacological and toxicological aspects in experimental models.
The defense was attended by a distinguished academic audience, during which the research findings were presented and discussed in a rigorous scientific manner. The student successfully fulfilled the requirements of the thesis defense.
This participation reflects the ongoing efforts to strengthen scientific and academic collaboration among Iraqi universities and highlights the active role of faculty members at the College of Pharmacy – Al-Nahrain University in supporting scientific research and contributing to postgraduate academic committees.
