Prof. Dr. Nadira Salman Mohammed, a faculty member at the Department of Laboratory Sciences, College of Pharmacy, Al-Nahrain University, participated in the Seventh Scientific Forum entitled “Innovation in Chemistry: Towards Advanced Scientific Solutions.” The forum was organized by the Emirates Chemical Society in Ras Al Khaimah, in collaboration with the Iraqi Society of Clinical Biochemistry and the Egyptian Chemistry Fellowship Society, with the participation of prominent Arab scientists, researchers, and specialists.
Her participation involved presenting a scientific poster on a patented invention addressing the biological activity of ionic liquids and investigating their antibacterial properties. The research also evaluated the effects of different concentrations of these liquids on clinical chemistry tests of human blood serum, aiming to explore their potential scientific and practical applications.
The forum aimed to strengthen scientific collaboration and promote the exchange of expertise among Arab researchers and scientific institutions. It also provided a platform for presenting research findings, innovations, and patents, while encouraging the translation of scientific research into practical solutions serving the healthcare, environmental, energy, and industrial sectors.
The forum covered several specialized scientific topics, including artificial intelligence applications in chemistry, biotechnology and medical sciences, sustainable chemistry, advanced materials, and nanotechnology. Its program also featured scientific sessions and presentations of research posters and innovations.
This participation reflects the College of Pharmacy’s commitment to supporting the research activities of its academic staff, enhancing their presence at international scientific events, and promoting the exchange of scientific knowledge and innovative research with specialists and researchers.
