The College of Pharmacy at Al-Nahrain University discussed the Master’s thesis of postgraduate student Hasnaa Suhail Jassim on Monday, September 7, 2026. The thesis was entitled:

“Effect of Topical Phosphodiesterase 4 Inhibitors (Ronomilast & Dovramilast) in Imiquimod-Induced Psoriasis Mice Model.”

The study aimed to evaluate the pharmacological effects of Ronomilast and Dovramilast in an experimental mouse model of imiquimod-induced psoriasis. It also investigated histopathological changes in the skin and measured the levels of several pro-inflammatory cytokines, including IL-17A, IL-23, and TNF-α, to assess the potential effects of these two compounds in mitigating psoriasis-associated inflammatory changes.

The thesis defense was attended by a specialized scientific committee, which examined the student on the research methodology, findings, and scientific conclusions drawn from the study.

At the conclusion of the examination, the Master’s thesis was accepted, and the student was awarded Excellent.

This research reflects the College of Pharmacy at Al-Nahrain University’s commitment to supporting pharmaceutical and medical research and encouraging experimental studies that contribute to scientific knowledge and the advancement of postgraduate research.

The College of Pharmacy wishes the student continued success and achievement in her academic and research career.
