Workshop

The College of Pharmacy at Al-Nahrain University, in collaboration with Dar Al-Tib Scientific Office, is organizing a scientific workshop entitled “The Pharmaceutical Industry: From Knowledge to Career Pathways” on Sunday, September 27, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., at the College of Pharmacy.

The workshop will be delivered by Dr. Nada Al-Tamimi, a pharmaceutical industry consultant and internationally certified trainer in this field. It will address several scientific and professional topics, including the importance of the pharmaceutical industry and its role in supporting the healthcare sector and the economy, the stages of pharmaceutical manufacturing, and the main departments of pharmaceutical factories. It will also cover the fundamentals of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), quality assurance, and quality control.

Furthermore, the workshop will highlight the role of pharmacists in the pharmaceutical industry, career opportunities in pharmaceutical factories and companies, and the essential skills and competencies required to enter and succeed in the pharmaceutical labor market.

The program will also include a graduation ceremony for the first cohort of trainees who completed the Industrial Pharmacy training courses organized by Dar Al-Tib Scientific Office.

The workshop aims to strengthen the practical knowledge of pharmacy students and graduates, introduce them to the pharmaceutical industry’s professional environment, and explore available career opportunities, thereby bridging the gap between academic knowledge and labor market requirements.

(The invitation is open to pharmacy students, graduates, and all those interested in participating)
