About the Department
The Department of Pharmacology & Toxicology at the College of Pharmacy, Nahrain University, is dedicated to studying the effects of drugs and toxins on living organisms and their molecular and cellular mechanisms. The program spans five academic years covering molecular pharmacology, clinical and environmental toxicology, and pharmaceutical research.
Graduates are qualified to work in poison control centers, drug regulatory agencies, research laboratories, pharmaceutical companies, and hospitals.
Program Objectives
Train experts in pharmacology and toxicology capable of studying and evaluating the effects of chemical substances on biological systems.
Prepare specialized personnel in toxicological and pharmacological assessment to contribute to drug safety and consumer protection.
