The College of Pharmacy at Al-Nahrain University has achieved a new scientific milestone added to its academic record. Assistant Professor Dr. Yasser Qasim Mohammed, Head of the Pharmaceutics Department, has published a distinguished research paper in the Iraqi Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences, which is indexed in the Scopus database and ranked in the third quartile (Q3) for the year 2026.

“Preparation and Study of Antibacterial Properties, Biocompatibility, and Osteogenic Effects of a Gelatin-Based Nanofibrous Scaffold Loaded with Antibiotics (Meropenem and Vancomycin) and Silica Nanoparticles”
🔬 Research Objective:
The study aimed to develop an advanced system in the field of tissue engineering for the treatment of bone infections (osteomyelitis), by designing a nanofibrous scaffold capable of enhancing therapeutic efficacy and achieving an effective biological response.
