The University Psychological Counseling Unit at the College of Pharmacy plays a vital role in supporting students academically, psychologically, and socially. The unit works to create a healthy and supportive university environment that helps students adapt to academic life and manage personal and educational challenges throughout their university journey.

🎓 Academic Adaptation
Helping students adapt to the university environment and academic requirements of their studies in the College of Pharmacy.
🧠 Psychological and Social Support
Providing psychological and social counseling to students who experience academic pressures or personal challenges.
⚖️ Ethical and Professional Values
Promoting ethical behavior, professional responsibility, and academic discipline in line with the mission of University of Nahrain and the ethics of the pharmacy profession.
🤝 Culture of Respect and Dialogue
Encouraging a culture of mutual respect, constructive dialogue, and cooperation among students and faculty members.
📈 Academic Follow-up
Monitoring academically struggling students and developing support plans to improve their academic performance.
🛡️ Preventive Awareness
Reducing negative phenomena such as cheating, violence, and academic dropout through awareness programs and early counseling.

Preparing an annual plan for counseling activities in the college.
Organizing lectures, seminars, and workshops related to mental health and student development.

Assisting students in adapting to university life and academic requirements.
Providing counseling for students facing academic or personal difficulties.
🌱 Student Development
Identifying and supporting talented students through special programs.
Promoting positive behavior and respect for faculty members.
🧑‍🏫 Academic Advising
Assisting in the distribution of class academic advisors.
Organizing regular meetings with advisors and students to monitor progress.
🧩 Counseling and Assessment
Conducting periodic surveys to identify student problems.
Applying psychological assessments such as:
Test Anxiety
Emotional Stability
Social Intelligence

Coordinating with the Special Needs Committee to support students with disabilities and remove barriers affecting their academic life.

Referring complex cases to the University Counseling Division.
Submitting a detailed report at the end of each semester on the unit’s activities.
