The College of Pharmacy at Al-Nahrain University organized a specialized course on High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), attended by a distinguished group of researchers and specialists, as part of efforts to develop practical skills in pharmaceutical analysis.
The course aims to enhance participants’ abilities in using HPLC, one of the most important instruments in chemical analysis, and to familiarize them with its applications in scientific research and the pharmaceutical industry.
On the first day, a scientific lecture was delivered by Professor Dr. Mohammed Jassim Hamza, Head of the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry. The lecture covered the theoretical principles of the instrument, separation mechanisms, and its key applications in analyzing pharmaceutical compounds.
The course also includes several key topics, such as an introduction to the instrument’s components, methods of operation and calibration, analytical techniques, and interpretation of results, in addition to practical sessions that reinforce participants’ applied skills.
The course will continue for three days, with noticeable engagement from participants and a strong interest in acquiring both scientific and practical expertise in this field.
